A PSP Smile!

If you know kids and you know games, you know PSP. That's the only
cue needed to make this guy smile! Well...that word with a promise! Brantley is an 11year old PSP fan going into the 5th grade. We had the joy of teaching Brantley in church a couple of years ago. He wasn't near as tall then! WOW! I had to look WWAAAYY up at him!

Analiese is going into the first grade. I'm not convinced her mom doesn't let her watch Next Top Model. Jenny, come on...she had ALL the moves! Are you sure she's not watching? Analiese was so easy to photograph. You could tell she enjoyed being on the other side of my lens and I enjoyed having her there!

It was really cool hanging with this playful duo. I have some evidence shots that show -as cute as that Analiese looks- she knows how to bring Brantley down! This was such a fun morning with these kids! I hope we get to do this again!

Beautiful Belle

She's 3 and has only been walking 2 years. I'm 34, been walkin' 33 years and a marathoner for the past 3. Despite that, this little dollbaby gave me a workout...I was sweating by the time we parted ways...and I loved it! It was so much fun chasing her around her yard!

What a beautiful backyard, complete with a white picket fence! Belle had a great time redecorating with the flower pots she moved around. Her mom let her cut a few to hold - precious shots!

After spending some time running laps in the yard, we took off on a walk downtown. This is when Belle started to shine on her own. She was all smiles as we made our way into town. She realized she was the star of the photo shoot!

So much fun...so sweet...Happy Birthday Belle. Enjoy your Fancy Nancy birthday bash with your girlfriends!

What a Pair!

These two cuties are my nephew and niece, Chris and Alyssa. We had just returned to my parents' house after meeting up for Ally's birthday dinner at Marion's (best pizza around!). It was a perfect evening for a quickie photo session.

Chris is going into the 5th grade this year. He's the same age as Ally - so hard to believe they are almost finished with elementary school! Chris is a Spartan inside and out. He's back out on the field this fall for football. Go Chris!

Alyssa is going into young fives. She is highly inquisitive and will love learning! She also loves making new friends - she's the social butterfly of their family!

My Nature Lesson

Do you know what a promethea moth is? I do...NOW! I learn so much from the children I have the honor to photograph! Isaac and Katie are exceptionally bright and sweet little exploreres. We spent a gorgeous morning at Cox Arboretum. They especially wanted to spend some time in the Butterfly House.

Isaac and Katie's mom, Sharon, is a very special person in my life. I've known her for years and she was there with me when I had an incredible life experience. A few years ago, they started attending our church. What a wonderful family...SBC is blessed to have them. Now Sharon is the leader of our preschool ministry. A job well done, by the way!

Isaac is going into the first grade (wish he was in my class!). Katie is starting Kindergarten. Sharon, what are you going to do with yourself? These two have a deep love for learning and so much to share with others! What a joy this session was!

Who's the Boss?

I can't deny it. I find great pleasure in directing others. That's why being a mother, teacher and fitness instructor suit me so well. And now, as a photographer, I have the opportunity to direct my very willing (and sometimes not so willing) subjects. I find great joy in working with people, young and well...not so young.

It's not everyday, though, you come across someone whose honesty is so innocently conveyed. That's just one reason why Emily is such a special girl! As we wrapped up our day's shoot, she quipped "You're bossy!" Oh well - gotta own it!

Emily is going to be a senior at Fairmont High School. It's hard to believe. I met her when she was younger than my oldest daughter is now. It seems like yesterday! I've had the pleasure of teaching with her mom and my good friend, Nancy.

We had a great time hiking around Waynesville for shots and then hit the studio for a couple of extra photos. Emily, you did a great job! Good luck in your senior year!

Baby Girl Ava

This was a very special MINI session. It was actually shorter than a mini session and our visit just wasn't long enough. I had the privilage of visiting my sweet friend Hilary in her new downtown St. Louis loft. BTW - that was so cool, Hil!

Hilary was one of my student teachers a few years ago. We used to tease her about wearing heels to teach third grade. Her daughter is fast following in her footsteps. She has her own pair of baby high heels! Did I mention she's only 10 weeks old? Too cute!

Hilary, Ava is as beautiful as you! I hope to see you very soon in Ohio.

Sweet Baby Isaac

Ten tiny toes and a button nose - what a sweet little baby boy! We had a mini studio session with this little guy who was less than two weeks old!

Isaac's mom knew exactly what shot she wanted (love that Mom!). I was both impressed and amazed by her organization. New baby plus a 3 and 4 year old! And Anna and Eli are as cute their new brother!

Thanks to this budding family for sharing their little man with me for a short while. I hope this was the first of many visits to us!
